The Talent Program 2023 welcomes new colleagues in style

The Talent Program 2023 welcomes new colleagues in style
The Talent Program, an intensive onboarding for juniors or recent graduates starting at Anchr, has welcomed 13 enthusiastic starters this year. They are taking their first steps at Anchr, and they are doing it in style: a meet & greet with our CEO, three weeks of intensive workshops interspersed with challenging and enjoyable team-building activities. This program is designed to provide new starters with a warm welcome and to quickly make them part of the Anchr family.

Learning from colleagues

The programme offered a varied range of activities. A comprehensive onboarding was provided, and numerous introductory moments were organised with colleagues. For instance, Rob De Rijk, Functional Analyst at Anchr, spoke about his career path at Anchr and his experiences, Nordine Demmou, Business Unit Manager at Anchr, presented E-voting, and the colleagues from digital transformation discussed our IT Services.

In addition, various inspiring technical sessions were organised on topics including Java, .NET, Scrum, and Prince2. Participants were also challenged during their own Hackathon. And because the pressure cannot always be kept up, the programme was combined with relaxation moments such as a visit to an escape room.

From new colleague to part of a team

A team feeling developed very quickly, and all participants felt like full members of the Anchr team by the end of the programme. ‘The commitment of the various colleagues, the sessions, and the pride with which Anchr colleagues spoke about their work were remarkable,’ says Evi Van der Vliet, Recruitment Manager at Anchr.

‘At Anchr, every employee is invaluable. This includes the newcomers,’ testifies Paul Peeters, CEO. ‘The programme is designed to warmly welcome new starters and to thoroughly introduce them to colleagues and our operations.’ ‘We are truly focused on nurturing talent,’ Evi adds. ‘Through the Talent Program, we aim to provide starters with support and to ensure their onboarding process goes as smoothly as possible. That’s no luxury in times when talents are scarce and coveted.’

Versatile Anchr family

The participants in the Talent Program vary in expertise and knowledge. Among the starters, there are .NET, Java and Oracle developers, functional analysts, project managers and service desk consultants. ‘A beautiful mix that perfectly complements the strength and versatility of Anchr,’ says Evi.

Welcome Days in the Ardennes

After completing the Talent Program, the group participated in the Welcome Days in Durbuy, a two-day event focused on meetings with management and various teambuilding activities, which is organised annually for everyone who started at Anchr in the past year. ‘The starters from the Talent Program couldn’t be missing here,’ says Evi. ‘A total of 55 new colleagues participated. There were informative sessions, sporting activities, and everyone enjoyed culinary delights.

We look back on a successful Talent Program and are curious about what all our new colleagues at Anchr will achieve!
