Anchr's Retail Cloud Suite facilitates convenient tap on phone functionality

One of those great features is tap on phone - with PIN.

Snepvangers explains: ‘This is a real breakthrough. This application, also known as softPOS, allows us to handle everything on one device; from registering the transaction to processing the payment. The result is ease of use for everyone involved in this process: for the cashier who records the cash register transaction, for the consumer who has to make the payment, for the retailer who has to maintain devices, but certainly also for Anchr as the developer.

For tap on phone, we work closely with CM.com, a global provider of Conversational Commerce solutions, which, like Anchr, has its roots in Breda and operates from a Mobile First mindset. They provide the application, and we perfectly integrate it into our POS solutions.’

Also in other phases of the customer journey, Anchr is fully committed to mobile. For home delivery and for picking up a click & collect order; an order that the customer has registered via the webshop and wishes to pick up in the store. This mobile strategy is not new for retailers and for Anchr. ‘We have been doing this for years. The difference is that the mobile device in store previously focused mainly on the retailer itself, think for example of a device for checking the stock level of a specific item. Now we see a shift towards the use of mobile devices in customer-facing processes, such as sales and order fulfillment.
